- How long does an inspection take?
Most inspections generally take anywhere from 1.5 to 4 hours, depending on the number of inspectors on site and size of the home or office.
- How long does it take to receive the report?
You should receive your report within 12-24 hours of the completed inspection, Once it passes our in house auditing team to ensure no information is missing from your report, we will email you a secure link to view and share your report.
- Do you walk the roof of the property you're inspecting?
Some home inspection companies view the roof from a ladder ONLY, and in many cases believe it or not, others inspect the roof from the ground! Direct Inspectors walk the entire roof of every property, residential or commercial. This allows us to find various issues the other companies may miss from their view points.
- Are you licensed and insured?
At Direct Inspectors we are fully licensed home inspectors, certified wind mitigation inspectors and we also carry $1,000,000 in general liability insurance. We maintain our licenses and insurance for your peace of mind.
- Do your home inspectors inspect the entire attic?
Many inspectors only view the attic from the scuttle entrance. At Direct Inspectors we inspect the entire attic, residential or commercial. This allows us to find various issues the other companies may miss from their view points.
- Do you offer re-inspects?
At Direct Inspectors we will come back out to ensure certain items have been repaired in a workman like manner prior to closing on your home. When this is necessary we will discuss with you on a case by case basis before hand.
- Do you perform diagnostic testing on your heating and cooling system; Or just turn on the air and heat to ensure they work?
Any of our talented Inspectors with Direct Inspectors will check the A/C amperage draw and get temperature differentials to help ensure the system is running efficiently. These items will be outlined in the final report provided.

- Do I need a home inspection?
Every home buyer should think about having their new property inspected before they agree to finalize the sale. Many mortgage companies require a current four point home inspection. Hiring a qualified home inspector can save thousands in future repairs while revealing major issues with the roof, structural damages, electrical wiring or broken plumbing.
- Do you perform, WDO, Pool, Dock, Seawall, Septic or Irrigation Inspections?
Direct Inspectors does not perform inspections on pools, docks, seawalls, wells, septic or irrigation systems, but can recommend qualified experts in these areas. Our Home Inspectors work to identify all signs of pest damage, however, we do not perform wood destroying organism (WDO) inspections. In the state of Florida, these inspections must be performed by a licensed pest control application professional. Our Home Inspectors do not hold this license, but will let you know if basic visual signs are noticed.
- Should I be present for my home inspection?
While it's not required for you to be present during your home inspection, often can be helpful as a seller or buyer. The inspector may explain certain findings, or have questions about repair dates and updates.
